A big part of my Broadcast Journalism Writing class was writing news releases and press releases. We wrote tons of them! This really helped us learn how a press release should read, the style it should be formatted as, and how to prioritize certain information included. Below is a press release written for the University of Kansas Daily Kansan and highlights an award that the School of Journalism and Mass Communications received.
